This one was fun!

The Recipe!
1. Okay...first of all this picture was taken on a sunny day...the sun is right behind her head. The more sun exposure the picture has, the easier it is to create a silhouette effect.
2. Under the effects tab, click on exposure. Slide the exposure tab to the left. I moved mine to -63.
3. Slide the contrast to the right. I moved mine to 37. Click on rotate, and click the flip button. It will make a mirror image. I wanted her face on the left instead of the right.
4. Under create, click on black and white...then apply.
4. I wanted to remove the hand and flower, so under the effects tab, click on doodle. Change the color to white by clicking on the colored box.
5. Use the mouse to color in the hand and flower...or whatever you would like removed from your picture.
5. Under the create tab, click on stickers, then hand-drawn hearts. Click on the heart you would like to use. A box will pop up to allow you to change the color of the sticker. Arrange them where you want them.
6. Under the create tab, go to Text. Type in the words, and click on a specific font. You can change the color of your text with the pop-up box.
7. Click on frames. I rounded the edges of the picture. Click on the small box that says transparent corners.

Isn't this picture fabulous! I love the eccentric colors! I though it would be fun to accentuate the colors and give it an old-world feel!

Here is the recipe!

1. upload photo!

2. under the effects tab, click on exposure. Bump the contrast to 17.

3. Click on Create. Under create, click on the advanced tab at the top.

4. click on curves. Find faded dagguerreotype and click that. The picture will change and a box will pop up. use your mouse to color in the parts of your picture that you want to stand out. I colored the bright clothing.

4. click on apply.

5. click on the effects tab

6. click on boost. With your mouse, color in the part that you want to pop. I boosted the clothing.

7. Slide the strength to desired amount. I put mine at 34%.

I just love this picture. She is just so beautiful. There are endless possibilities when it comes to "playing" with this picture. That is what I love about photography and photo editing, the possibilities are endless and I get to be as artistic I want! These are the two edits I chose to share with you! You can click on the picture to enlarge it!

The Recipe! (I mean its a picnik, right?)
1. upload your picture!
2. under the effects tab, click on exposure. Bump the contrast slider to the right at 10. This makes the colors pop!
3. under the create tab, click on boost. A pop up box will appear. At the bottom of the pop up box, check the box for reverse effects.
4. with your mouse, color in the flower. Or...whatever you want to stand out in your picture! You can slide the strength to make it pop more or less. Click on apply.
5. click on boost again. This time, click on reverse effects and use the mouse to color in the eyes. Adjust the strength appropriately...There is another way to make eyes pop under the touch up tab, but this way works well too!
That is it!!

I love this one...it gives the picture a vintage vibe! These steps require picnik premium tools.
The Recipe!
1. upload picture!
2. under the effects tab, click on exposure. Bump the contrast to a 10.
3. under the Create tab, click on advanced.
4. under this tab, click on the word curves.
5. The first pop down menu under curves is presets. Drop down the menu and click on Faded Daguerreotype.
6. click back to the effects tab and find boost.
7. Click on boost and move the strength bar to the left to soften it. I moved mine to 27%. Click on apply.
8. Click on boost again. In the pop-up box check the box at the bottom for reverse-effects. Color in the eyes. Adjust the strength. I adjusted mine to 52%.
